So there you have it. Rangers playing at their peak can actually match a Celtic team that couldn't really be bothered.

While we could babble on a bit about the game (why change the habit of a lifetime?) let's look at the away fans for a minute. Oh the comedy of it. Bereft of 'Hullo, hullo' they were truly a lost tribe. From the Jock Stein stand it was almost possible to hear the scratching of heads as they wondered what to sing next. They started well, 'God save the Queen', stayed on that theme with 'Rule Britannia' (although they still got the words wrong). For a while it seemed like some bizarre re-enactment of the Last Night of the Proms. I was waiting for them to belt out 'Jerusalem'. After a few 'political' ditties they remembered the words to 'No Pope of Rome' - hadn't heard that for a while and I did love the 80s - before they found their crowning glory - Happy Birthday Your Majesty. I kid you not. In case you were wondering, we were still treated to a few lusty renditions of the Fenian blood number. Like lemmings leaping off a cliff, they just can't help themselves.

As for the game, well they had the chance to close the gap on Hearts, but really beyond the chance that well to Wunderkind Wee Berky and a flash save from Boruc they didn't do much.

Neither did Celtic really, but then again after the game the Celtic players could go and look at all three domestic trophies in the board room, then go home and look at two winners medal from this season.

The huns, on the other hand, could go home and relive the wonderful moment when they saluted their fans behind the goal at Celtic Park having dropped another two points in their bid to move up from third in the league.
