Not pretty, not especially entertaining, but another three points racked up and the party another game closer.

Caley have never been a team that we could easily roll over. The scoreline was the same the last time they visited here (they even took the lead on that occasion). McManus did his goal scoring hero routine again and Maloney showed Nakamura the new standard for dead ball striking.

Boruc meanwhile was obviously still wasted after the cup final celebration, and three consecutive shut outs might have suggested a defence on the mend. Two more wins and we get ready for the avalanche of excuses that will follow our lifting of the league trophy.
