Hearts - loath 'em or hate 'em, you just can't like 'em. Rangers I don't like either (obviously), but I reserve a special level of contempt for Hearts. Maybe it's the Alex McDonald connection, maybe it's the 'snow off a dyke' attitude of their fans (let's see them sell out their stadium when they're out of the title race), maybe it's a dozen other things - it doesn't really matter. I just can't stand them. Which makes the fact that they got off the hook here a rather bitter pill to swallow. The early lead should have seen us settle down, but instead we gave away one of those Bratislava/Motherwell type goals. Strachan had resisted the urge to play Agathe instead of Telfer because Telfer hadn't made a mess of it. He did today. A man who has scored in nearly every game he's played in this season isn't going to turn down a chance like that. Slap on the head for the boy Telfer. Hearts seemed happy with that. They had the odd flurry up the pitch, but Celtic had most of the game, Hartson passing up a clear chance to secure all of the points. So the Hearts bubble remains intact. Not to worry though, a couple of injuries and suspensions should see to that. The only winners today were the huns. After all, they should easily whip United at Tanna ...what? Oh dear a good chance to close the gap between themselves and third place missed. How sad. |
