So it's farewell to Pleasantville, McArthur Glen, civility and an easy pint without sectarian abuse, at one of the few grounds in the SPL where you'll not hear the Billy Boys blared out with Neo-Calvinist venom from the home support. They even laid on Irish dancing for us at half-time.

As for the football, this was a bit of a dog fight. Livi were scrapping for survival and carried the game to Celtic from the off. They hit the bar and forced a superb Boruc save on the back of an early headed miss by Magic.

Celtic's response was to release Mc Manus, whose contribution was a Souness-style tackle on Walker that should have seen a red card. He was lucky not to break the Livi player's leg.

Celtic never really seemed to get out of second gear and not until the after the restart did they get going. A fabulous dummy and nutmeg by Naka released Magic to slot home the first from five yards. A soft penalty allowed Maloney to make it two. Livi had no reply.

It was soon easy street, with Dublin again missing a chance in the six yard box, before being substituted for Hartson.

The title is now within reach and its all over but the shouting, which will presumably be interpreted into Lithuanian.
