How amusing to note that before the game Gough was bragging that neither Sutton or Hartson had scored against him when he played for Everton. Even better was the fact that the winner was a penalty deemed controversial (i.e. a penalty for Celtic). What could be deemed controversial about a player leaning in to the ball to play it away with his arm is anyone's guess, but we shouldn't expect too many of these decisions to go our way in the coming weeks.

Hartson gave us the lead, heading in a Thompson free kick, but - shock horror - the newly hun led Livi equalised after a hopeless long range effort was deflected into the path of Jim Hamilton (once described by the diary as an arsehole with elbows, it's nice to get one right now and then).

Celtic had complete control of the second half, although we only managed the one goal from the spot.

Still we're back at the top.
