A nervy first half hour saw the introduction of the new Celtic incontinence pants amongst the brave souls who dared risk the journey into deepest Ayrshire.

Missing Balde at the back, it looked like it was the Sieve (Agathe, Varga, Valgaeren and McNamara the guilty parties), rather than Bobo, who were riddled with malaria. Huffing and puffing, sweating and delirious, they gifted Killie's Mc Donald the opener from a corner after Marshall had brilliantly denied Murray.

Bowels among the traveling support, however, held fast as Hartson rapidly managed to sclaf in an equalizer, keeping the odour from the Killie dugout at bay.

The Henke-free Celtic, rejigged at the back, were still looking decidedly shaky and it wasn't long before the second Killie goal came when the Sieve were posted missing, with Valgaeren left red faced this time. Despite Marshall's best efforts, a rebounded ball was put in by Wales.

The response from Celtic wasn't as immediate, but it did come soon when Sutton set up Thommo, who rounded the Kilie cloggers and the 'keeper to level.

Just before the end of the first half Lilley deliberately handled a through ball which would clearly have set up a Celtic chance and was duly red carded. Thompson drilled in the resulting free kick and Celtic went into the break in front as Killie limped off with 10 men. No complaints from Billy Brown this time!

The second period was a formality as Celtic dominated the 10 man opposition and comfortably strolled into a 4:2 lead courtesy of a peach of a header from Hartson on the end of a Thompson free kick after 70 mins.

Camara made another cameo appearance, brought on for Mc Geady, and looks to be shaping up well, as does the improving Beattie. Early indications are still as everyone expected though: the team needs new blood and a better defence, even for the SPL. While we wait in hope, its still nice to go to these middens and gub everyone's favorite Ayrshire Orcs.
