Given the warm welcome from the locals it might be a bit harsh to compare Inverness to Amityville, but we had our share of horror shows against this team in the past. No one was really expecting a display of Dunfermline proportions. The priority was simply points. Any bites taken out of the goal difference would be a nice bonus.

The first half panned out as most people expected. Celtic had all the ball, but on a bobbly pitch and playing with some nerves we never really threatened. The breakthrough came just after the hour. McGeady went on a run inside and slipped the ball to Bellamy. He shaped to drive the ball across the face of the goal but instead slipped the ball inside the front post. Hallelujah!

The points were wrapped up when that man Bellamy was brought down for a penalty, Thompson keeping his nerve to secure the win.

The gap is narrowing and we are improving with every game.
