Chris Sutton SPL Player of the Year anyone? It's actually noticeable how quiet the papers are about the Player of the Year award this year. It was about Christmas last year that the papers began their Bazza campaign. Yet this year - nothing. What money they start lauding De Vries or some other 'stand out in a bad team' type player?

Anyway it was another two goals and one assist from the best centre forward England could ever ignore. And all this after 'Crayzee Celtic Fan!' James Grady had headed the Jags in front. He's only the smallest man on the pitch, and he was only in the middle of the six yard box. I'm sure Kennedy and Hedman can explain what happened.

On this kind of showing it was hard to understand how Thistle hadn't managed a win in the league yet. They certainly fought for every yard until eventually Celtic's class told.

Having already missed a fairly simple header Henke wasn't in the mood to miss any more; Sutton shielded the ball, knocked it into his path and it was 1:1.

The soon to be ex-Thistle boss claimed that the second was a lucky deflection. Which was odd because everyone else saw Sutton beautifully flick Larsson free kick into the corner of the net. No luck involved, just pure ability.

And it was Sutton who sealed it, throwing himself at a Larsson cross to knock in the third.

Chris Sutton - Man of the Match, Player of the Year and all round hero.
