Dull, dreadful and definitely forgettable. Celtic made the last 16 in the UEFA cup with a dreary display in Teplice that was threatened by a call off due to Floodlight failure before the start.

Celtic's lights did manage to come on, but they didn't seem to be at home for long spells in this game. Played in a blizzard, the home side looked pacy and physical, while Celtic looked to be going through the motions having comfortably won the tie at Parkhead. The price they paid was the loss of Sutton and the loss of the game.

The result wasn't a great worry, but losing Sutton was a calamity. How we will reshuffle the pack after this is unclear.

Chances were few and far between, with a Thommo free-kick after half an hour being the only real threat. Larsson scuffed a couple of shots, but they were of no serious threat to the Teplice goal.

In general, the midfield were not at the races and had their worst night in a long time. The defence looked reasonably solid until Varga headed a clearance straight to Masek who duly scored. This was a carbon copy of his gaffe in Munich, but Rab D could still have saved it had he been positioned better. Definitely a night to forget. The prospect of moving onto Barcelona, however, is one to savour!
