Life just doesn't get any better for the Cat does it? Being removed from all competitions by teams wearing green and white (Panathinikos, Hibs and of course our good selves) isn't guaranteed to please the Bears. Add to that fact that they are a team packed with pension planners, anonymous journeymen, and hopeless youngsters and you almost feel sorry for them. Almost.

Pre match there had been a lot of talk about Rangers pride, blah blah. The upshot of this was that they ran about a bit more, kicked a bit more but still managed to create hee haw really. When you're pointing to speculative shots from Gavin Rae as real chances then it really is game over.

So far this season we've managed to beat them without a defence at Ibrox and without an attack at Celtic Park. What can we do next to give them a sporting chance?

Henrik reached another milestone today, his first Scottish Cup goal against them, and his first victory over them in the quest for the old pot. He only has one more thing left; get a hat-trick against them. He has two more shots at it.

The afternoon should have been a lot worse for our guests after Klod galloped out of his box to stick the boot into Craig Beattie, but the ref took pity and only flashed a yellow. After the final whistle we had the truly surreal sight of various huns throwing their strips into their baying mob, as though they had just completed a glorious win (maybe holding us to one goal counts as a win down Ibrox way these days). John McClelland wasn't too pleased - those strips cost £40 a go - £50 with the name on the back.
