Hibs really are a team full of dullards. What else could explain the crass stupidity of their pre-match comments? Some of the Celtic team didn't shake hands with them as they cavorted around in front of their fans after the CIS match. Somehow that rubbish became back page gold dust, with Alan Thompson named as the main offender. Curiously, the Hibs team couldn't get down the tunnel quick enough here, especially Riordan. He couldn't even wait for the half time whistle.

Until the sending off it had been quite a tight match, Sutton had opened the scoring with a well worked 1-2, but Hibs had been fighting hard (almost literally at times) to stay in it.

The red card finished the game. Almost immediately Celtic scored again and that was it. The second half was a procession.

Highlights included Stuart Murdock conceding the most imbecilic penalty of the season, Larsson grabbing a well earned goal and Petrov finally getting himself on the score sheet. Bring on our next visitors.
