So, the 100% home Champions League run comes to an end. Disappointing, but the reaction of the Germans at the end tells you all you need to know about just how far we've come in recent years.

In terms of real chances this was a non starter. Both defences were in no mood for giving away early Christmas presents. Unsurprising when they have Khan in goal; something of a relief when we have Hedman - although that having been said, he did make a good save from Ballack.

Closest thing was a Larsson free kick that had Kahn scrambling, but this was very much a stalemate.

Yet again we've managed to get drawn in a group without a whipping boy in it. This is the big boys' playground and only the strongest will survive.
