Premier League Wednesday january 30th Livingston 1 Celtic 3 1:0 Quino (5); 1:1 Moravcik (59); 1:2 Larsson (62); 1:3 Hartson (75) Att: 10,000 MIB: Douglas MacDonald Celtic: Douglas Mjallby, Balde, Valgaeren; McNamara (Moravcik 23), Lennon, Lambert, Petrov (Smith 56), Petta (Guppy87); Hartson, Larsson. The Hoops go 15 points clear following an initial scare at Pleasantville. A second half treble managed to offset a superb goal in 5 minutes from Quino, who beat Rab D from long range. Rab D is a good shot stopper, but it's worrying that from a distance he almost resembles Klot in his ability to judge the ball. He did make up for things, however, after 20 mins when he saved well from Wilson. Stan, as usual had a chance to equalise quickly after Livi scored , but again fluffed his first chance. Hartson and Stan missed more opportunities, no thanks to Mjallby, who managed to block one net bound effort from Petrov. Despite a Joos goal chalked off for off side, a second half blitz killed Livi, Larsson, Lubo and Hartson all found the net in a 12 minute spell. Celtic coasted in the final 20 minutes, creating a drove of chances and contriving to miss them all. When you are 15 points clear this early in the season who cares? |
