“It was Keane’s cool head and costly class that proved the difference between the sides – which is as it should be, even if Celtic seem determined to prove the existence of other murky factors behind the winning and losing of matches. The failings of Mowbray and his players have in fact all been down to referees with rancid morals. Or in yesterday’s case – had it not been for Keane – it could even have been blamed on a playing surface that seemed in sinisterly poor condition”. K Jackson Daily Record 08/03/2010 Couldn’t get a more neutral viewpoint than Keith “Rangers TV” Jackson. Talk about overegging the pudding. Yes we get it Keith, Celtic have accused everyone including refs of bias and even complained about Falkirk’s pitch. Except they did no such thing. Neither Celtic not Tony Mowbray have accused anyone of bias and they did not complain about the pitch despite the press reporting that they had. In fact, Celtic released a statement denying making any such complaint. However, Jackson - who seems to know everything that goes on at Celtic - failed to grasp even the most basic of information, perhaps because it does not suit his agenda, or is that me just being paranoid... again? On the other hand, how’s this for paranoia and claims of sinister unseen forces - “Everyone wants people to get ordered off, everybody wants penalties against us, everybody wants everything against us. “We seem to be reaching a ridiculous stage where refereeing decisions actually become far more important than the game itself.” Nobody likes us, and we’re really quite upset about it. It’s no fair everybody’s against us. I’m away tae eat worms. Which “dignified” manager said the above a few weeks ago? By the way couldn’t agree more with the second statement. As Paul67 on Celtic Quick News said, if “everyone” seems to feel this way, maybe they have a point Waldo. Maybe Keith ‘Union’ Jackson wants to say something about St Mirren’s rampant paranoia, “There seems to be a different interpretation of the rules, it’s always the same when we come here [Mordor]” or Craig Levein’s rampant paranoia. Or even Simon Mensing’s paranoia. The Hamilton player had this to say about Charlie Richmond after the Scottish Cup replay at Ibrox this season: “It’s always difficult coming here but it makes it even more difficult when you feel as if you’re up against twelve men. I don’t know what it looked like from the side but I just felt that in the majority of the game the referee was giving easy decisions to Rangers. “Maybe it’s the crowd that influence things or maybe it’s just because it’s Rangers, as even in the original tie we felt that things weren’t going for us. I felt that was clear again last night. “Whether it’s the league or the cup it’s always going to be a hard game against Rangers. But when you feel you’ve got your backs against the wall and you’re playing against an extra man then it’s even tougher. “You try to speak to the referee but he says he just calls it as he sees it. There’s nothing really you can do about it. You’ve just got to play your game but it’s hard enough playing against eleven.”
