How the SFA appeals process works

The referee who sent a player off reviews his decision and decides that, yes I was right to send him off, after being publicly backed for sending him off by every rent-a-gub ex Scottish ref you could find (unless of course he happens to be an ex-English ref with a suspiciously Irish sounding name who said it wasn’t a sending off).

He’s not gonna say no I was wrong and look like a prat after being backed by the whole Scottish refereeing fraternity is he?

No mention of the external pressure applied to the ref by those reports, but lots of mention of the pressure applied by ‘unknown Celtic source’ prior to the game.

It kinda tells you what you’re up against in the appeals process. Unless of course you’re Boogie and you get your red card rescinded no questions asked.
