adieu donc, puis...

Diomansy
Kamara

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before – a January loan signing.

Kamara arrived from Fulham with a decent reputation as a player and a lousy reputation as an injury risk.

On his debut at East End Park he nearly uprooted the posts with as clean a strike as you’ll ever see. During one of his first home matches he played a perfect through ball for Keane to score the winner and when we went to Tannadice he scored the opening goal with the aplomb of a seasoned finisher of the highest quality. So what was the problem? Well basically his contribution in the first two games mentioned started and finished with the incidents I’ve mentioned and having scored so excellently at Tannadice he proceeded to follow that up with some of the worst misses you ever did see. Then we had the small matter of Fulham wanting several million for him. Eh? Half a million maybe, £600k at a push but any more than that and you must be kidding.

Oh and we did have him on the treatment table for a few weeks as well.

All in all he wasn’t a bad squad player to have, but that was certainly the limit to it.

He’s now back at Fulham, we wish him all the best.
